On August 25th, 2012 five of our members in costumes went to visit the Pediatric Oncology Department in Brno to support young patients in the toughest fight of their lives. We visited several departments where we gave small gifts in the form of Star Wars toys – these were given to us by one of our partners, the Hasbro Company. The main goal of our mission, however, was to try to put a smile on the faces of young patients. We were able to fulfill it - the kids were thrilled. At the very end of our visit we handed over a check for 10,000 CZK to the head nurse of the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Bc. Martina Petlachová, who is also executive director of the “Krtek” (Mole) Foundation, Thus we have contributed, along with our second partner - the Prague Film Orchestra, to purchase a new coil for magnetic resonance imaging.
